"Kleinefontein"
is near Vermaaklikheid, a 3 hour drive from Cape Town along the East Coast. An 18th-century Cape Dutch homestead built 200 years ago, situated at the mouth of the Duivenhoks River.
We spent a long, lazy week end here. It has no electricity - the rooms are heated by long-burning stoves and the cooker is gas - luxurious rooms encourage late sleep-ins. Rolling lawns, tall palms and isolation, bliss...
