Lion of Africa Ladies Day Race

Girls on the guard rail.. Shelly, me and a couple of other blondes!

I was invited to sail as part of the all girls crew aboard the race boat Vulcan, a GP42.  This race took place in Table Bay, Cape Town, South Africa.  Table Mountain was our backdrop.  There were 200 woman sailors out on this day… girl power!  The excitement in the air was tangible and we had oh, so much fun!

We are NOT mothers (7 kids between us), NOR are we married (way too many years to count!) today, just some girls having fun!  Freeeeeeee!  Sailing does that to you...
Thanks Ingrid for capturing the moment x

We were first to cross the finish line and came second on handicap.  What a day, thanks Hilton and Ingrid, owners of Vulcan, powered by Puma.
