The Two Tribes

Skyla's Origami Crane Mobile

The kids have been creative and made some lovely things.  Here are a couple of examples...
Rourke's Turks Head Ring and Arm Band
As it happens there is another catamaran named Tribe and it sailed into the bay alongside us and dropped its pick.  We went over in our tender to introduce ourselves to these sailors, dad, mom and 2 boys, who happened to choose such a cool name for their boat.  We have met up with a couple of friendly boaters along the way and as we are all heading in the same direction we're kind of island hopping together till Georgetown, good fun, especially at happy hour.  So, now on the VHF they are the American Tribe and we are the African T R I B E to all other yachties trying to reach us on the radio.

Layla lovin the action...

The kids found a piece of plastic on the beach and asked Chris to tow them on it, Skyla wasn't the only one to lose her pants.

Upon returning from our dive, Chris and I noticed Rourke standing poised on the hard top with his Red Ryder donned in his protective eyewear shooting a floating target that he tied to the stern.  First thing he says as he sees us approaching is:  "Don't worry mom and dad, none of the pellets have ricocheted and hit the boat yet!"  Nearly forgot to mention Rourkes latest injury.  He did a back flip off the dive platform and landed on the tender line, ouch…

Boys WILL be Boys!

That evening we had a lekker beach Braai (lipsmackin' beach barbecue) with the other 3 yachts in the bay. On the left Bill and Lara from SY Sunrise and on the water the crew from SY French Kiss arriving, and SY (American) Tribe.
