Colombia, Isla Providencia

Sascha, Chris and Craig heading for a frosty and some crab toes!

We continued our uncomfortable passage east into the trade winds and on to the Viverellos off Nicaragua and Providencia Island, Colombia.

Providencia (meaning Heaven) was a welcome stop as it meant we no longer were sailing straight into the wind, but had "turned the corner" and had a much more pleasant wind on the beam.

The beaches in Providencia were beautiful and we ate crab toes prepared in a delish garlic sauce for the first time.

Coconut milk cocktail in a coconut anyone?

Layla and Rourke taking a walk over to Santa Catalina, the small island joined to Providencia by a bridge.
