Flores, in Guatemala, is a picturesque little island located on Lake Peten Itza, a 4 hour drive from the Rio Dulce and only 45 minutes from Tikal.

It's cobble-stone streets flanked by pastel-colored buildings and handicraft stores provide hours of browsing and the coffee shops with their signature cake 'Tres Leches' (food for the gods people, I tell you!) are something not to be missed!
