Miami

Miami Beach

Today we had to brave the concrete jungle of downtown Miami and take Layla to the dentist, driving around there is not for the faint hearted.  One nice thing is that we at least had a tour of Miami and even visited Little Havana which is picturesque.

Miami at night from our cockpit

Miami is not very cruiser friendly as they don't have any places where one can tie up your tender whilst ashore, come on people, get with the program!

My cousin Lance, his wife Monica and their precious lil son James, live in Miami Beach and its always fun visiting them, tonight they will have dinner with us aboard T R I B E.

'The Strip' on Miami Beach is never dull, girls in Bikini's wearing heels to the boys from the hood giving you the evil eye as you pass by and oh, the fast cars, Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce convertibles, not to mention the bigger, the better monster trucks, ALL eye candy!

Chris and I cycled along Miami Beach, in fact we cycled everywhere, even to the Miami Boat Show, which, by the way if you're in to boating in anyway is a must see.

Chris posed with Mel Fishers treasures of the deep, the real deal, Mel found about 400 million dollars worth of gold treasure off the coast of Florida…  Chris is very excited as he is a treasure hunter(and a pirate!) at heart and has armed himself with underwater metal detectors and sea scooters and diving equipment, all in aid of the treasure we are going to find somewhere on our voyage.  Keep you posted!

  1. As ALWAYS, AWESOME pictures.. I'm very happy that Chris is with you to charge the equipment.. We all know that's the really complicated part...
However one can only be disappointed when mentioning bikini in heels and then no visuals... I demand Chris to take the camera for a run one day... on his OWN... Thank you... And Chris we've seen all the cars now... Here on Cyprus we also have a Bugatti Veyron, Ferraris, Lambo's and other crappy cars...

Any news about the map so your fans can track your positions... I hope you guys will find a way to add this feature soon...

Now.. take care where ever you journey may take you... Looking forward viewing your blog as always...
    xx
